Jeremy Gordon received an MBA, summa cum laude, from The International University in Geneva. He is a lifetime member of Phi Beta Delta Honor Society for International Scholars. From the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, Executive Education, Jeremy completed advanced certification in Real Estate and Hotel Investment and Financial Management. He is a lifetime affiliate member of The Cornell Hotel Society.

In addition, Jeremy has completed independent commercial real estate course work in user decision analysis, market analysis, investment analysis, financial modeling and financial analysis.

Jeremy began as a residential leasing agent in 1994 and worked for six years with the residential broker Manhattan Apartments.

He then began training in the commercial real estate brokerage industry in January 2001, working as an Associate Broker for his mentor, the President of a boutique New York City commercial real estate brokerage and investment banking firm JSBO Realty & Capital, Inc. Through JSBO, Jeremy also completed work as a commercial real estate property inspector, gaining valuable experience evaluating commercial properties for the McDargh Real Estate Services, Inc. and their institutional clients.

Since 2001, Jeremy gained experience in residential property investment, completing a successful subdivision and sale of land and houses in Connecticut, purchasing several Florida condo bank foreclosures and investing with partners in a 10,000 square foot overseas commercial office condo.

In 2003, Jeremy founded the predecessor firm to August Realty Capital, JL Gordon Advisors, a New York City based commercial real estate brokerage and consulting firm, which he owned and operated for nine years.

In early 2004, while operating JL Gordon Advisors, Jeremy spent two years partnering with a Mumbai technology company, helping pilot an outsourced commercial real estate services platform.

Jeremy is a committed husband and the proud parent of two young boys.

An adventurous, entrepreneurial spirit drives more than just his business ventures. On the personal side, Jeremy is an endurance athlete. He enjoys setting goals and turning the impossible into possible.

Recent endurance challenges completed include the Elemental Edge Training Lake Champlain, 7.5 mile open water swim, the Adamantine Alliance 24 Hour Challenge (70+ miles) and riding a loaded mountain bike from Chamonix, France to Zermatt, Switzerland along the high alpine ‘Haute Route’.

It is a gift to train with talented coaches and face high pressure endurance challenges that require grit, perseverance and determination.

Pushing the envelope outside the office in the physical realm sharpens awareness and learning.
